Just my opinion, but if there was a composed eletter that all BYC Members could sign it may work better. Sort of a semi lobby group.
Also thinking that this would work better in contacting any celeb.

This is a great thought i said once he was elected that there would be a garden there and there is. I also said there would be chickens and there will be just give it time. Thats just the kinda person that i belive she is Very simple and simple liveing. She got off to a ver rough start but sure has made an impression on me after. i think we need to forget about celebreties and forget about pushing our favorite breed we need to market ourselves as an eco frendly and 'normal' movement
off the top of my head i think we should GIVE the presedent chickens, organic feed, supplies. we are making a political eco friendly statement.

my suggestion for a small flock would be a red white and blue theme i.e. red/blue laced wyandottes and something elegant and white

i think if we set up an account and everyone who wanted to make this political statement donated $1 we could drum up more than enough funds to make this happen

lets run a compatition with the breeders among us for the right to donate chicks to this cause ... this is the presedent and the face of BYC we want to pick the best of our best

also we could write a grant application for this if enough people wont buck up $1

I wonder how we could bring the Mother Earth News "garden moat" idea to their attention? There was an article about a woman who had one around her garden in the Houston Chronicle. It would be a fabulous addition to that garden!
