Chickens in Vista CA

Hello All,
Thank you for the add to the community. We recently started a flock of 10 chicks in Vista CA, Warmlands area, up the street from Prohibition Brewing!! We have 1.2 acres, and are looking to install a chicken coop. I am having a hard time deciphering all the Vista City ordinace legalize on where I can locate my coop. I want to build an 8'x10' structure plus chicken run, and locate towards the rear of my property. Unfortunately with COVID, I cant call the city folks and have them explain. Anyone have any insight as to the required setbacks? Any and all advice and info is much appreciated!!

Welcome to our poultry paradise! .... In your area, It takes permits, I'm pretty sure. Some there, have small coops and I'm not too sure about allowing roosters. I have family in that area of Vista. I'm a little further north than they are.

How close is any neighbors house to yours?
I would say Build the coop, as far from each neighbor as you can. Maybe ask the peoples, if chickens would be trouble for them first. If not, then you have a lil chicken farm to enjoy!
