I was wondering how the elk hunt went for you. My buddy arrowed a big 5 point muley yesterday (that's would be a 12 point for you easterners, the brow tines don't count as points on mule deer, and we only count the points on one side). Makes me want to get out and get hunting. 

Work has got me slammed as well. Quarter end stuff.

We finally got some good trail cam pics, so since its staying light late enough now, I think I'm going to hunt after work tomorrow. Hadn't really had the itch before now...

You're welcome. A nice solid whitetail is on my bucket list. So is a nice mule deer buck, and yet this work stuff gets in my way.

We're headed up for our first weekend up north for deer season. Archery season up here so it's mostly scouting, but the weather is only in the 40s/30s so much better than November firearm opener.

It has been so dang hot that we haven't seen anything. I heard a few and my buddy got one last weekend, but it has been far and few between. I will be out on the deer hunt this weekend.

That's what I've heard. I've got an archery deer tag that I'm going to chase. I'm waiting for the rut to start and I'll hunt the extended along the front.

Tracking didn't have them here yet

I've calibrated the thermometer in the Octagon, and the hygrometer is undergoing the salt test as we speak (I'll check it after the girls go to bed) (the human girls

) Then I'll clean everything with some fresh hydrogen peroxide, and after letting everything dry overnight, I'll plug in the incubator and let it stabilize (and see where my humidity is dry--assuming the hygrometer's correct, the house is at about 50% (I didn't really pay attention, since I hadn't tested it yet).
