Sorry SC, it's been a rough couple days and impossible to keep up!

I do want to play with emu, i havent looked into it but i bet they are difficult to hatch! Its "the other red meat!" I cant do it on this property but maybe one day... Could you imagine fluffys the size of LF?

I've tried those caption contests, but my favorite ideas aren't family friendly. There was one with a Polish chicken and a German shepherd that I had to let go

I wonder why Brinsea has such a great reputation. The Brinsea Ova-Easy I just bought was manufactured in 2006, and the turner motor is missing (replaced with a generic tabletop egg turner motor). So I contact them to buy a new turner motor. "Oh, that model is really old. We don't have parts for those anymore." So I reply that I just bought a 19 year old GQF with a bad turner, and every functional part is available at reasonable price from the manufacturer. But if the part isn't available, please provide me with the specifications for the original part, and the catalog number so I can search for one from aftermarket sources. And please provide the assembly instructions that were originally provided so I can verify things are put together correctly, and if you can help me with the timer delay settings on the PCB that would be great. Waiting for a reply...

Someone on my local thread has a dickys 2x2 and he loves it. He told me he uses it for staggerd hatchs too, just moving those to hatch down to the hatching section. I asked how he solved the humidity problem, and he says he didnt have to., he runs at 50% regularly... Whats your take on this? Anyone at all please? I tried to just be polite and brush it off, but it came up as i was discussing buying another bator as a hatcher for my spring hatchs... Cuz somehow setting 50 eggs isnt enough?!

Each incubator, egg, home, state, environment plays a part in ones humidity. Some people do great with 50%. My last hatch was my best and I ran 50%.

ETA: If you did that on purpose, that was awesome! You took no issue with the "cheap drunk" or "windows"

I have never understood ovation math. Some days I have a ton, and sometimes it blocks me after one or two

AGREE! your ovated posts probably are not, some probably are though goof, however it dont really matter anyways..... OK OVATIONS SYSTEM RANT #1 the thumbs up is too related to FB in its acknowledgment "like" and sometimes it would be rude to not thumbs up vs quote just to say thanks, they should have a two click system or something. plus ovation system the way they have it NOT working long term if you ask me, after time the post is lost forever.....All that I can see is that we can only search 10 top all time ovations, and top 10, by week day month, makes me scratch my head what happens to all those other high ones after that? why cant we search through all high ovations? so many great posts are lost in space out there in this BYC, I ran acoss a high ovated post yesterday and it would have been nice to know about it years ago! ok end of rant..... I like ideas and sometimes ovations show some really great ideas.... like toilet paper roll genius queen! at some point even her post will disappear into never land @Saris

Can I add to your rant? I'm always on a mobile. And ovations are pretty useless. I can give them but that's about it. I can't see them or who gave them or even who gave me one, for that matter. Like once a month, I jump on the computer to check them. I wish there was a way for them to be seen on mobile.
