Thank you!!! Another person from the CLB thread told me that was more likely why happened. They said if the rooster came from a blue egg then her daughters should lay light blue eggs. But they also said to give her a few days to work it out internally. Then decide to cull. I told hubby I was sad because of it...and that I don't think I am going to use her, so I am either going to sell her or move her to my layer only pen.

Yeah, give her some time... and wait to see what her sister lays too... I'm still curious about the inside of the shell, lol...

Ravyn....it looks like I might not be able to swap with you unless the other girl lays a blue egg. Lol!!!

I will admit its MY fault that my kids had a mess downstairs, I typically dont let them make a mess and leave it, but we had company show up and I forgot it last weekend! they had made forts out of the cushions  so I cant blame it ALL on hubs

Ugh... sorry... that sucks... I do agree with Walnut, those carpet cleaners just don't pull out enough moisture from the carpet... hope you can get it worked out... :/

So...I got another egg. It looks Pinker in color and the shape is more of that of an actual egg. I hope it's from the same hen and not the other!!!

So we spent the day moving Big Guy and his harem's coop to the new building. Very productive day, got lucky and it only sprinkled a couple of times. Finishing touches tomorrow but they are secure for the evening. Had to herd them to it this evening, but hopefully they will go on their own tomorrow.

While we were working on the automatic door, we heard a ruckus, and spotted Big Guy fighting a hay bale out in the field, under a little pine tree. It took off before I could grab my pitchfork, and I was in hubby's way, so he couldn't grab his either. We will be prepared tomorrow though.

That sounds great! Was he ok after the hay bale attack?

Passed something during the night, but not a stone. Something kind of gritty, but I could roll it into a ball. Seemed more like tissue. At any rate, I'm not hurting this morning, so

I don't know much about them, but can they break down? The stones?

Embarrassing story of the year.....

yesterday I found out our dehumidifier had overflowed in the lower level. 

now going back to when we got the new unit, I had specifically purchased because it had a thin hose that could be connected and run outside for a hassle free run.  After arguing with hubs he insisted he was going to empty it daily and we didnt need to hook it up and run it outside, for that was too much work (SAY WHAT????)  this was just after one of my surgeries and for some dumb reason I didnt have any fight in me and didnt care and left him deal with it, this always ends up a disaster.... ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS!!!!  NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS, he will admit it too!

so I go downstairs yesterday after a week of not being down there and OMG the smell was disgusting!!! the kids had the cushions from the couch on the floor cushions stuffed animals all over the floor, covers, my sheepskins, puzzles, games, anything that could soak up water was on the floor! AND IT DID! I flipped out, now my husband comes and goes daily via lower level!!! need I say more?

 he doesnt deserve a smack, he deserves prison! He isnt a dumb person, I have NO clue what was going on in his mind, absolutely no clue, I have no excuse for him, I have no reasoning behind his madness, I cannot figure any of this out, this is beyond sanity.   I think he is seriously insane at this point, seriously what in the world possessed him to ignore such a thing??????  he said he though it a dirty sock!!!!

now my question is this.... can I get the smell out of the carpet or do I have to replace it? I know I need to replace the furniture but the carpet? I worked so hard down there 

Omg!! I can't imagine how mad you must have been! I would have been livid!! Especially after suggesting that the hose be put on...to prevent this from happening!! Yup you need bleach and lots of fans down there! Put the cushions in the sunlight.

You can try a professional restoration service, but replacing the carpet will probably be cheaper.  I am so sorry.

I haven't seen a dehumidifier with a tub that didn't have a shut off float.  If you run the water into a bucket or something (removing the bin to do so) then that would override the float.  What did he do?  And make him clean everything up!

If you have a big tub into which a very mild sanitizing solution can be used, you may be able to salvage some items.  Stuffed animals may be able to go through the laundry, at least they have a chance that way.

That's a good point about the shut off valve. And yes, stuffed animals can go through in the wash no problem.

It's made it out of the little tube between the kidneys and the bladder, that's why by back doesn't hurt any more. Now it's just staging for the final push through the last tunnel...

I feel so bad for. I personally have never experienced it...but I have had 2 kids all natural....and I hear it can compare. I am so sorry.....I want to give you a hug but WV will smack me so...I wont.
