Well.....it's all over her wattles and her beak. I think it is. She has swollen little nodules in her wattles.

. Don't "oh jeez..." me.
I meant that to sound sympathetic, not like you had done something wrong. I would be sick if I came home and found that.
Honestly, it sounds like that's what it is. I would separate her from the others and watch them for signs of an outbreak. It's not necessarily fatal, and can be treated fairly easily

Plus...I have to take one of my labs to the vet this afternoon because his hips are hurting him making him whine and crossing his legs and walking in circles......not a good day for me when it comes to my animals. :hit

Everything I read says it can not be treated. It has to run its course. And now I may have another one affected. She starting to show white little spots on her comb.....I have no idea where this came from!!!! No one new has been introduced! !!

It can be carried and transmitted by mosquitoes, and I know there are plenty of those down there.

Thanks!! I am off to the store to go get vitamins A and D and B12. I already have Vitamin E for essential oils. I hope it helps her. She does not seem to have a loss of appetite. But now I am thinking it did come mosquitoes because they have been terrible this year. Thank you again!!

Good luck. I hope she's ok.

Looking at her wattles reminds me... I was reading the other day that wattles and combs are so sensitive that if you squeezed them between your fingers really hard, you could make them bleed. Is that true? I bet someone here has pinched a chicken hard enough to know...
