Hours after the broody took off and we noticed the pipped eggs we put them in the incubator. All six hatched out healthy.

And then she had the nerve to go sit on a whole other set of eggs. Not again Sister!
Oh, wow. Thankfully you got them in time!! Look at those beaks! Im so used to seeing little black beaks, those look like little carrots! :gig adorable! Great job!
Geez, I have not the foggiest idea what you could be referring to :D
:gig x2
I'm super excited... :celebrate
Can't wait to see! :fl
SC, I am so glad you are back. While I may not engage too much in the humor, I do appreciate it. I just have to be careful about visiting this thread when I am on conference calls or in meetings as I have had inexplicable outbursts of laughter or spraying Coke on my monitor...I just blame it on PBA... I got my first egg from my "Fancy EEs" today. I am not disappointed! This is the girl that laid it: And her mama's egg is the paler green one to the right.
WOW!! Gorgeous egg!

Is it just the angle or is she that much bigger than your sex-links? This is one of your custom crosses, right?

This egg is why I want to hatch some BCM or Welsummer...think what that roo would do for the egg color, when these are from crosses which are brown egg on dad's side, green on mom's side. I have three or four of this cross and the same of the Salmon Faverolle/Am roo and Am hen, and a couple of "wife swapper" crosses and a few SF/EE covering RSL. I should have a whole spectrum of green egg layers producing green egg layers, and if I am lucky a few blue or near blue.

Well if things work out, maybe I will be able to swap you some welsummer eggs and some Cornish mutts. I've got some welsummer pullets coming up and a welsummer roo.
