Chickens keep breaking legs

Some here on BYC have chickens with only eye Mareks who seem to do okay. Generally up to 100% of chickens can die of Mareks within 10 weeks. There are a couple of ongoing threads about Mareks in which members discuss what they are going through. It is a good way to get tips on what to expect and other information about testing. Here are a few of those, along with some veterinary school or professional articles:

came to check on my girl and found her dead like this.

The soonest I can get a necropsy is on Monday! Is there any way I can preserve the body for a necropsy on Monday so that I don't have to euthanize another bird?! Help!

You need to refrigerate but NOT freeze your bird until you can get her necropsied. Search on BYC for Casportpony's thread on "How to send a bird for necropsy" where she gives you step by step instructions on how to store and send a bird.

Yes refrigerate. Soap the bird down first with dishwashing liquid.

Guy, I need help I have another bird with coccidiosis. With all the rain, the yard is a muddy mess. Not conducive to get rid of cocci.

I have posted In The latest coccidiosis thread. I am afraid my polish won't recover and that other birds will get sick. If this, one dies, I am taking her to Mizzou for necropsy on Monday.

Hey Marlene, do you have any Corid or other sulfa/coccidiostat drug on hand? What are the symptoms?
I have a bottle of Corid and it's also available at TSC, Farm & Home and other places.
It will be hard to find on a Sunday but a bale of straw will work to cover most of the mud in your yard.

Yes I have Corid and the vet gave me medicine for the 3 in the same flock--separate from the other flock.
Should I start Corid on everyone? I just did that at Memorial Day?

I took her to vet for diagnosis. Yesterday when I went out after dinner she was on her side. I brought her in. She did drink but not interested in food until this morning. She has been sleeping most of the day. Dr. king also gave her a steroid shot. I am worried about how sleepy she is and that she isn't getting enough to drink. I also started electrolytes.

Corid won't hurt the rest of the flock but probably isn't necessary. The coccidia are everywhere. They've already been exposed so should be resistant by now.
You could tube some water if you think she's not drinking enough.
