Chickens laying small eggs.

The bird is is pretty big, I don't why its eggs are extra small.
She is a new layer.... they often start with small eggs which increase in size in the following weeks. V what though can give her to get larger eggs is time

Complete protein can also help because the yolk dictates the size of the final product.
However, don't overload them on protein because that can cause articular gout and add to ammonia in the bedding. 17% is ideal if all the amino acids are present.
Let nature take its course and in a year an australorp will probably be laying 60 gram eggs or so.

They usually lay small eggs when they first start. It's nothing to worry about... I'm sure soon her eggs will be this big. chicken-breed-laying-eggs_eebfb28de53cc6ac_9U2fXY-LTiS7y6HGKVzt8A.jpg
