Chickens making me sick ?

My hens are 8 months old and I just love them !!!!!

In the last 3 months I have gotten really sick. Fever,cough,headache,feeling generally lousy. My DH say's it must be the chickens because I hardly ever get sick. Is that possible ? Can we get sick from them ? Please tell me no because I love these girls.

Yes I have had a flu shot.

Please look up Histoplasmosis. And Please ALWAYS wear a mask when coop cleaning.

Sorry to tell you, but yes they can make you sick, especially if you have allergies. I have to keep my baby chicks outside after a few days old. The last time I had them in here for too long I got bronchitis. Usually they just mess with my sinuses, but when I clean the poopies out of the barn my head will get all messed up then too.
