Chickens Neck is weird, don't know what's wrong.

Just a note on the copper sulfate, if it is being used more than 3 days and above 1/8th teaspoon per gallon of water..You are doing major harm to your birds

That paragraph came from Gamerooster.com website in the health section, not my recommendation. I have no way of knowing if that dosage or days is correct, but the site was helpful to me when I had my rooster in quarantine after purchasing him; I thought he had canker in his mouth, but believe it or not, it was clumps of feed stuck to the sides of his throat fooling me. I was prepared to put him down immediately if that turned out to be the case, but thankfully, it was not.
I would not assume from that photo that the rooster has canker because it isnt close enough or the right angle. You will need to look in his throat and see.

If you do find placques , then "canker" (more common in pigeons than in poultry) is not the only candidate for causing such...vitamin A deficiency and "wet"pox (the internal diptheric form of pox) may also be the cause (course it may also be something entirely different such as some kind of injury or even a toxin or mycotoxin)...
What you can do now is give him basic support like separating him into and temp stable environment and adding electrolytes to his waterer if you suspect he is drinking insufficiently (separating him will allow you to monitor this) and add a good poultry nutritional/vitamin supplement to his feed (if you do not have this then four drops of POLYVISOL in beak once a day for a week then taper off >but do get and give him a good general supplement) will help his own immune system deal with whatever may be ailing him.

Yellowish Plaques are diagnostic of canker, I'm thinking I'm seeing that in the left hand corner of the mouth, The upper form of Trich(canker) is very common in chickens in the Southeastern states, expesially gamefowl and mediterranean breeds

I looked at him today and noticed that his bottom beak looks like it is cut near his head. It was like this Saturday too. Could this be from canker, or do you think he may have gotten it caught in something and this is causing the whole problem?
