, I just found out that my city has 2 different sets of laws and that you can have 3 dogs of any size and a potbellied pig but chickens are limited to 5 on properties over 15000 sq. ft. I have emailed the mayor with a proposal for amending the zoning laws (no restrictions under municipal code) and even suggesting a license to keep them like dogs and cats. My chickens don't bother anyone but the dogs barking and pooping on my lawn and the cats free roaming peeing on everything is somehow ok.
