chickens not eating layer pellets

Mine have a huge run and than get to free range for at least four hours a day. I doubt they get all they need just by free ranging though. morning treats include some of my breakfast, oats (oatmeal), meal worms, fruit and scrach. for the next few days the morning menu will be...layer pellets. i can not wait to see the puzzled look on their faces!!!
