Chirping
To make this easy, we now have 35 birds. With the loss of some of the pullets and taking out the cockerels. Everyone was doing awesome, I was getting at least 15 eggs a day average, approx. 3 a day were small, before the girls started dyeing, from the smaller sussex pullets. As soon as the cockerels started crowing, and going after the girls, everyone stopped laying. Not a single egg for almost 3 weeks now. The cockerels would attack even when I was standing there. The run has a roof over approx. 1/3 of it. The feeders are under the roof unless we get negative temps, then I put the feeders inside and close the girls in at night because it is always windy here. Tha waterers are inside all winter.I counted 65 chickens here ^^^
Waaaaayyy too many birds for.....
Is run covered and winter proofed?
