I'm feeding 22 % layer formula. My hens are doing pretty well for laying and I already feed way too much cat food to barn cats so, I think I will give them alfalfa hay to scratch in.

i read on another thread that buff orpingtons take around 20-23 weeks to lay. mine are well past 30 and still no sign of eggs at all. they seem happy.. is 20% enough protein?

I checked my feed bag today and mine is 20%. My BO are close to 32 weeks and just started laying a weerk or so ago.
