So here I was knitting away at the kitchen table and watching a show on the internet when out of the corner of my eye I see that Maine Coon cat. I think he/she belongs to a neighbor. And she's walking along looking backwards. And right behind her are my 2 SLWs pecking at her butt. She's hightailing for the woods. LOL I go out the front door and call to them they come strutting back saying, " Look Ma we chased her off." Now when the raccoons and foxes come along I wonder if they will be so bold. LOL.

My first ever broody GLW saw a skunk outside their run that my husband accidentally chased out of our barn. She ran out, jumped on the skunks back and shot off like she was on a trampoline...I could barely believe what I had saw...that was my first year with chickens...now I know...lol

Those Wyandottes are great chickens and funny. They will lead the way into the coop. And they are talkative. If I'm late feeding them they squawk like crazy. The saying "Mad as a wet hen" comes to mind. LOL.
