Chickens Pooping

No. Someone is setting you up for a good laugh when the chicken poops on you.

One of my girls poops every time I pick her up, regardless of whether or not she has just pooped.

So far mine haven't pooped on me when on my lap, but they love using my clothes as a napkin for their beaks. And their feet can have some poop on the bottoms, of course.

Well I am prepared to get pooped on lol I will be holding them once in awhile n here n there. I read my chicks can go out to their coop at six weeks long as it's 65 degrees, then read 50 degrees??? Not sure when to put them out?? I'm in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast B.C.

I handle my chickens a lot, and I've been pooped on amazingly little.

When I have chicks, they do tend to poop a lot more than adult chickens when being held, but even still, I've been pooped on very little by even my baby chicks. However, I have become quite proficient at recognizing "intent to poop" when holding a baby chick, and usually can get them onto the ground before tragedy strikes.

My adult hens almost without exception, will not poop on me when they are relaxing in my lap. The exception is when I'm handling a hen that is stressed over being handled, and just the handling triggers a release. But I can count on one hand the number of times in eight years of keeping chickens that I've had to change clothes in the middle of the day due to being hosed by a hen.

Good to hear. I hope I have very few pooped on moments :)
