Chickens saved by guinneas!

I love your profile pic! it is amazing! how did the guinea let you do this? you must be really close to her or is it a digital addon? either way super cute.
Our guineas run away from us

My avatar is Pip. She broke her foot when she was small so was handled a lot and very tame, but not quite enough to dress her up. My daughter took her picture and photoshopped it with all kinds of stuff. I have one with a bikini, one with scuba gear, a biker outfit, etc....they’re hilarious! Pip is quite an amazing hen, though. She would sit on and hatch other hen’s eggs and keets and was just generally a sweetie! All my other guineas were more on the wild side like most other guineas. I talk about her past tense because sadly, a few months ago we had to move and I had to rehome them! They went to a wonderful home but it still makes me sad! Now, I have to live out my guinea obsession through other people here on BYC!

I love guineas. We only have one ( her sister died as a keet) a Coral Blue who we assume is a girl, named Nancy. She is funny but MEAN. She chases the other chickens, grabs their tail feathers and bites them. The poor bantams get it the worst. She lives with the chickens in the coop, and her favorite pals are a silkie, a Polish roo and a SS. They are Guinea&Friends as we call the gang.
Plan on getting a couple more from a nearby farm, but don't know if they will all try and kill each other

Guineas are mean sometimes, nothing to do about that except to introduce them as keetles to the coop and hope they grow up and be nice
But the benefits outweigh the cons of these birds by a big shot, after this bobcat incident I praise them even more than before, but yes, they are very crazy birds. lol
