Chickens stomach/chest area is missing feathers and she is pecking at it

I noticed my chicken was in the nesting box all day, at first I though it she was just brooding, but I picked her up and noticed it looks like her stomach area is clean shaven. I see no blood and she has been eating and drinking. I can’t seem to find anything at all on the internet about why something like this might happen. All of my other chickens are fine. Any ideas of why this might be happening. I have a photo of her stomach but I don’t know how to add it on.

My guess is she's gone broody, which some hens get the "brood patch" that is more helpful for the eggs.

She's broody. They pluck their bellies bare.

Weird... I have all 5 hens with that but they have never been broody
