Chickens stop laying -
So I introduced 18 young new laying hens to my older laying hens about three weeks ago. I also increased the nesting boxes in the coop in made a bigger dryer pen for all the hens to come in and out of. Since I have done that my older hens, about 18 of them,Have stopped laying their quota of eggs. I am only getting 4 to 6 eggs a day from them. They were lying about an egg a day. Any thoughts, they are getting along with the new young hands.

That's good....but what about coop and roost space increase?
Do you free range....might be 'hiding' eggs.
The coop was originally built for 30+ hens. There is plenty of ventilatio, it,s over 9’ high with an open overhang.
I don’t free range, lost a lot of chickens to predator.
