Chickens stopped laying

Hi I have 9 adult hens, they are 2 old hens and the rest are around 4 years old, this summer I got very little eggs but they were all weak shelled eggs so broke very easily, I provided grit for them they are on layers pellets. How can I get them to lay more eggs again?

It's the winter now. Mature birds will resume laying in spring

Yes hopefully now as I have my first rooster I can hatch their eggs.

All your hens are past laying prime and will not lay in winter without supplemental light.

Sounds like you need some younger hens.

You might also provide some oyster shell in a separate container for extra calcium. When they start laying, they will eat it and it will help them to make stronger shells. Good luck!
