O.K. First let me say i am new at this. Only had a coop 3 months. I bought 15, 4 month old chicks and 2 weeks later added 3-year and 1/2 old americauans. I got eggs from the older ones for a week. My whole coop ended up with a respiratory something. I treated them with two antibiotics and had no change, one young one died. I finally tried Tylan 50 and the rattling cleared up. They have been off the meds for 3 weeks now and I still haven't had an egg from the older ones. I have them eating layer pellets, we give them fresh cool water twice a day. It has been hot-up to 100. Any ideas why they haven't started laying again ? I thought the younger ones might be ready now, but no luck. When should I expect an egg from them?
