31! Chickens, as a general, are a large, yet domestic species of gamebird. Because of their size, I thought, maybe a diminutive chicken perhaps, and quails come to mind. It's like, I want a chicken, but it has to be small. So, I'm talking gamebirds here, and quails are my best bet.

Hmm.. have you ever had chickens? I've heard from quail raisers that they are quite different than chickens. I've (I'm actually embarrassed to say this) had chickens, and it was AWFUL. They are mean, annoying, aggressive, loud, obnoxious pests!

And from what I've heard and seen, quail are intelligent, cute, friendly little BURDS.
