Thought it might be helpful to have a single thread where recovered chickens/necropsy results can be posted. Often we will post about a sick chicken, not knowing what's wrong and then, if it recovers or dies, the information doesn't get shared. Perhaps we could see trends and hopefully even avert loss of birds by listing the following:
Breed of chicken:
Age/sex of chicken:
Provenance of chicken: (hatchery or breeder)
Symptoms:
Length of time between onset and intervention or death:
Interventions, if any:
Diagnosis or Necropsy results:
Other flock members affected?
What you learned from the experience:
I'm thinking it would be best to limit this thread to cases where the cause of illness or death becomes known, and/or the interventions attempted were effective.
