Chickens With Coryza

I'm new to chickens and just resently bought 12 chickens from two different people at the local flee market. I bought 6 Rhode Island Reds and 6 Orpintons. When I got them home I noticed that the 6 Reds smelled like something dead. I just figured it was from not being cared for well. I assumed with clean water, food and a clean environmet they would get better. Two weeks went by and they still stunk. I started asking around and found out they had Coryza. I got rid of the 6 Reds but I had them with the others in the same pen. Will the other chickens be affected? If I need to get rid of the other 6 Orpintons will the pen still have Coryza in it and how do I get rid of it? How long it take for symtoms to show in the other chickens?
