Chickens won't lay eggs.

Thanks ChickenCanoe I'll take your recommendations in mind when I restock.
Thanks again everyone.

my hens have all but stopped laying too! I'm in California but the winter is cold(mid-30"s) at night and 60ish during the day . I have noticed that they are indeed eating their eggs ! I give them oyster shell and free roam during the day . Most of my flock is on their second winter and they layed all winter last year. There are 2 new Road Island Reds that are the ones I caught eating their own eggs. What am I to do , they have been very prolific the rest of the year.

Well, well, for some strange reason I am getting eggs again. I did seperate one of the roosters from the flock. Three eggs in the last two days and the temps have been in the 30-40 here in Va. I'm happy and looking forward to spring.

Yes , I went through a month of bad luck. Found a snake in the coop, I think a hawk or Eagle (we have some American Eagle's in the area) took one, two roosters (they are now seperated). Any idea where I would get Kelp from?
