Chickens won't use their ladder!

If you can attach a flat board,say a 1x8 over your ladder rungs,and then tack a shingle or 2 on top of the board for footing,this may help them a lot,mine likes a flat surface to walk on better than coordinatiing their steps to a set distance.

Thanks for the great suggestions! I've been wondering if I have ladder problems, too. So nice to have all the "experts" here.
