I think I read somewhere that larger breeds like Buff Orpingtons would do better with 14" x 14". Not sure where I found that...

Some people on here use a milk crate on its side, or a large bucket laid on its side. You should check out the "coop construction" board and look around for nesting boxes.

Ok thanks yeah I think I saw something on here about nest boxes like in the learning center or something so I will have to double check on that

My pet chicken has a lot/most of the breeds you guys recamended Mcmurray also has a lot but Mcmurray you have to have at least 25 birds but with My pet chicken you only need at least 3 birds also some breeds are cheaper at some places than at others so idk. What do you guys think? What is better? Or should I just go to the local feed store and/or TSC store or something like that? What do you guys think?

Ok thanks I will have to go have a look around and see what they have. Although none are really ideally super close (They are still in the state but I would just have to go to Mapquest to see exactly how far they are from where I live), I still think it is worth it to go have a look. Also at a local store or feed store or TSC or something like that do they have different breeds like labeled so you can choose or are all the breeds like thrown togther and you may have to take with pics of chicks from the breeds you want so you can tell which is which? Also how do you choose and/or only get like 5-6 or 10-12 chicks when they are ALL so darned CUTE?!?!?!?!?

get sexed chickes, pay the lil amount more! Sraight run will give you almosty all roo's!! 90% og them are roo'ss
