Can chickens eat sweet potatoes?

I've read that they're not supposed to eat the leaves but the tubers are fine. I have them growing in my yard and they ignore the leaves. Mine won't eat the potato unless it's cooked--and then they love it.

I have a left over sweet potato from the Road House and I was going to give them the rest of it but can they eat the skin?

I believe they can eat the skin, mine have without any negative affects. But they absolutely love sweet potatoes.
