I meant yours. I'm only going to one... and then I will take the roos to whoever my mom gets to take them. She was asking people she works with for me.

I hear you on the ticks! The free range chickens seemed too focused on the front of my yard and not the back where the wooded area is and the ticks are coming from! i may need some guineas also, but would like them at the roaming age too!

the one in teh video is a hen,
the other 2 are likely also,
the one thing with RIR is the hens have red combs and whattles, same with NH reds,.
Agway rarely gets straight run chicks unless they are specifically marked.

I have 6 out in the coop I am babysitting for that out of 6 2 have red whattles and combs. but they are hens.
production red birds are n ot cculled for the more cream combs that most show and breeders like to see,
bring them to the swap and we will go over them.
and lert you know.
roosters at this age will show pointed neck hackles.

Anyone going to have have any bantam chicks about a week old by Shay's swap? I have a lonely chick that hatched, and none of the others appear to be hatching.....so he is in desperate need of a friend and I don't have anyone small enough to put with him.

that is what i was thinking also, they look like pullets to me, but would be better to see them in person.
