Thanks Shay and Jose for hosting this!! We had a great time! The food was great! The kids loved the hay rides. The animals in costume were awesome and I absolutely adore all of your chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, peafowl, sheep, bunnies, parrots, ferrets, etc!!! Just fabulous! My two little chicks are warm and happy. Before leaving I used my iPhone to change my Facebook status to "I just won a raffle for a box of chicks!" I didn't post that I didn't keep them. By the time I got home my husband was trying to prepare himself for more chicks than expected. He'd been joking about it on Facebook. I bet I could have gotten away with keeping them. Good to know for when I might "accidentally" get more chicks that we agreed.

Psstttt you can bring them to the chickenstock next weekend the 17th, the in NH.

the best thing i can do is give you the thread to make them!

i was experimenting with a few different ingredients and i found making them in my over-sized muffin tins was the quickest way to cook them, so i call mine 'muffins'! basically, they are blocks of seed you can feed to your chickens or even to the wild birds! i didn't use eggs in making mine so they should last longer in storage. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=111647&p=1

you bring them to the chickenstock on sunday the 17th, how much are selling them?

$2.50 each. i have 3 different flavors i was working with last night and i found the one with the berries and apples was the best with the chickens this morning! the pumpkin/carrot/garlic was slower to go but i figured it would be good to try as a natural way to de-worm the chickens while entertaining them! the 3rd one was mostly seed and some raisins. the squirrels, chipmunks and jays were loving me this morning for putting a few out. i'll work on making a few larger sizes this week for those with larger flocks.

i have tons of mini pumpkins that i'll be selling-mostly the white ones, but i do have some orange too! i'm asking $1 each for the larger ones, i have some really 'mini' ones too and i'd like to get .50 cents each for those!

You should talk to my wife on Sunday at the swap in Bedford. We sell non suet "suet" feeders (no need to refrigerate at all)and have toyed with the idea about doing "poultry" ones.

Thisis the very first chickenstock at this location ever, so it is up in the air on how it goes, but so far it seems there will be a good amount going. :0​

The small ones (like what was in the raffle on Sat.) are 2.00, the medium ones are 10.00 and the monster ones are 15.00. The medium and large ones aren't just more material, they are a pain in the rear to make, which is why there is a price difference. Our feeders won't fall apart and hit the ground after a couple of nibbles... and they also have natural ingredients that squirrels don't like, but birds do, so it keeps the squirrels from eating them.
