i knew i heard someone down that direction had some! i was thinking about the bourbon reds but deciding on something else. with Cackle i can mix turkeys and ducks in with the order so i have been deciding if i wanted to add a few blue slate turkeys to it or a few duckies!

or if i should just go with chickens in the order. when i tried to order favs from Cackle 2 years ago it was the same thing, chicks would take till June to come and i decided to sub for light Brahmas instead and i really wish i stuck with the favs.

I will have some extra LF pullets at some point but can't say when. Of the 5 LF chicks I have so far this hatching season, 4 are boys.

And the lone pullet looks nice enough to hold on to for now. But I haven't even really started hatching LF yet, been concentrating on the BBS bantams while they're still laying. I did get all of Dick's LF birds in pens earlier this week so will start setting from them in the next few days.

I really liked the temperment of the Bourbon reds, so if everything else falls through talk to Shay!

I like my bourbons to but I really love my midget whites. The 2 toms are like dogs and love to be held. The sweetgrasss and naragansett like to do their own thing but arent aggressive at all

So is anyone gonna bring bantams? What kind?I just finished building a new coop and am looking for maybe 3 or so.Also some LF too...

if i can make it down that direction i may be able to bring a bantam pair of cochins. i have to rehome a few bantam roos too.

i have 3 cochins of different colors and a splash (aka golden neck) d'uccle that could use a new home. along with a columbian colored cochin x brahma roo, and a partridge colored cochin x wyandotte roo.
