For those who dont go to the Westford which you all should

it is a great swap.

I looked into it with Ed Hangman from AG in Ma, he is the one who does my testing
, All you need is there certificate that states they are pollum (spelling) and avain clean, and yes Ed from AG in ma said it is a good idea to give your copys of the certificate with a receipt for your buyer and yourself. And no one can say anything as long as you carry your certificate and your card with you. ( In ma). So every one go get your flocks tested hehehe

i dont really know, i have had so much going on here that i cant think straight, but see tom, he will tell ya . sorry

ohh ok, i am hopeing to go to westford , so i will get info on that.

I know traveling inside NH you do not need certificates and tests, but to cross state lines the tests are necessary and health certificates are encouraged.
not everyone can afford to run and pay a vet bill and that's understandable. especially where some vets want to examine each animal for exaggerated prices.

I am not sure if Mass and Maine are the same on these regulations so check with your state first.

The threats to the NH swaps are greatly exaggerated and unfortunately incorrect in a lot of areas.' dont be mushrooms( kept in the dark and fed a lot of compost) call the AG office and have them explain anything you do not understand, that's why they answer the phones.
My best suggestion would be to listen to what your being told and if you dont understand it, feel weird about what your told make the call.Remember rabbits and hatching eggs are NOT covered by the Ag office for reporting. You do not have to account for all species of animals , only poultry and livestock.
Give the negatives time to die down and things will smooth out nicely.

sorry, hehe

See mass is stricter,

here if you travel , sell, you have to be tested ( well your poultry have to be tested
hide.gif
) and carry your certificate with you. and turkeys, quail, pheasants. waterfowl does not have to be though.

Right every state is different, thats why I say make the call know what is expected of you and your birds.
