I hope to stop by, just to chat if I don't decide to bring anything for sale. If I bring anything it will be bantam faverolle pairs from Hattrick (blue salmon, salmon, or even the splashes). I think I'm going to need the room soon.

I will have a Red Crested Red Polish Roo I believe 10 weeks old for sale.

Looking for muscovy, blue swedish or magpie ducks.
And rumpless arucana chicks or pullets

Good luck with that, turkeys are the hardest thing to sex until they either gobble or dont.

Well Muffi saw mine and we both thought that they were hens due to the fact they had no "warty things" on their necks and still had feathered necks and the one I picked up from her the same age has started to get the "warty things" and is displaying allready and doing the little fandango dance for the other two. When do they start to gobble anyway?? That one definitely makes a different noise than the other two, but it is not an adult gobble sound. You said you have 3 baby toms left , are they from Muffi at Westford? If so, they were the younger batch she had. I got mine from the batch hatched out on March 3rd from her, so if you can tell if yours are toms, then someone should be able to help sex mine if they are older. Unless yours are older, i just dont want to end up with a turkey scuffle, or are they not like roosters in that way?

Only a couple survived:(

Sorry to hear about your fisher cat problems.

I had a raccoon break in and kill half of my outdoor chickens a couple weeks ago. This was after two years of no problems. Sucker was huge - must've been 25-30 lb. He climbed the chain-link fence and managed to squeeze through an 8-inch gap between the cable ties holding the top netting. Grrrrrrrrr

I have since replaced the plastic netting with chicken wire and secure it every 2 inches. I also installed an automatic chicken coop door opener/closer. It's on a timer and works like a champ! This is where I ordered it from: http://www.discounthomeautomation.c...unc=displ&strfnbr=30&sesent=0,0&prrfnbr=16357 I highly recommend it to any chicken owner. Well worth it for peace of mind.

not like roosters they dont squabble like that lol.
Midgets are the only turkey I have seen who will display at 3 to 8 weeks old. totaly hysterical to see such a tiny thing with pin feathers bring that tail up.
even hens have the "warty things" even as they get older, just not so many and not so large.
There is a way to tell when they get a little larger, you pick up the poult and put its butt on you fingers. if there is a narrow( 1 finger) spread between the legs its a tom if its 2 fingers its supposed to be a hen.
hens have a wider stance between the hips. I have not fiund that to be 100 % accurate either.
the only 100 % I have found is a gobble or an egg.
I got the poults way before westford swap these ones are 9 to 10 weeks old now. and a little easier to tell , they really dont start gobbling until they are about 5 to 6 months.
hens purr putt, but even infant toms will snort.

Snorting, yes I hear that when they eat, i thought it was because they were gagging on their food from chowing so fast. I think ours may be from the same hatch. I got them at Shays first chickenstock and they were 3 weeks old then. It will be my luck to have 3 of the same sex, but if they dont fight then it wont be a problem. Hopefully they will deter all these hawks I have had in the yard latley. They sure have amde a major comeback. i keep seeing them dead on the roadside on my way to work down route 3 and even saw one swoop down across the highway and smack into a box truck! it must have been going after something in the median and after it hit the truck it kind of flew cockeyed so hopefully it was just stunned.
