I will get a pic tomorrow and post it for you.

It will probably be a cockerel because we named it Honey. I should give everyone boy's names so I can get more pullets.

She's very funny, always off by herself scratching away ALL DAY in my "garden" (i.e. dirt patch). I've never seen a chicken spend so much time working on one spot of ground before!

I think it's actually 4 months old, not 3 as I had originally posted. I had to go back and check my records to make sure.

Was looking great to be a pullet (in my completely UNexpert opinion) until I pulled back the top fluff. I was like, "Whoa boy, whatchou got growing there?!" But probably if I say I think it's a boy I will be wrong, as usual.

Boy.

I do belive i see streamers comeing out?

I'm far from an expert but I though it looked girly. Don't non-bearded silkies have large wattles? This one has small ones.

I will say I had one buff that took me 7 months to sex so don't go by my opinion.

I am thinking roo. It may be something only I think, but I allways assume the hens to have a rounder poof on their heads. (my way of thinking they have a prettier hairdoo than the boys) LOL

Bring both the silkies to the stock. I noticed with teh silkies they start crowing late, could be just me though. lol

My buff silkie pullet is about the same age as yours well a little younger i think, but her head is so much rounded than the pic you show of your buff

I think Keesmom is right on, with the wattles and non-beared silkies.

I've only ever gotten 2 silkie hens out of the several silkies I've owned (and not including these gender-questionable younguns).

I was hoping the buff's lack of nice round puff was just due to poor crest quality and not to masculinity.
