Chickenstock fiesta yardsale August 21

Went out to shut the coop door to my small coop, that is the one with the covered pen, but those birds decided they were not even venturing out today. On the way to that coop, I see something flapping in the snow near the doghouse coop inside my yard and see wings and then a head pop up out of the deep snow. Not a chicken head, but a HAWK head! Those chickens did not come out of that house all day, so as I ran toward him screaming bloody murder, he kept flapping and could not get himself up, I thought he may have been frozen in the snow, but NOoooo...he was trying to take off with my favorite rooster. He is lucky he got airbound before I got to him with the fencepost in my hands that I grabbed as I ran like a maniac towards him with after seeing my roo under him pressed into the snow. Just as I got to him he must have decided he would rather live that try and take of with chicken take out dinner. My poor roo laid there in the snow all stretched out. My big doberman was sniffing him like he was telling him he was sorry it had to end like that when all of a sudden the roo started to pannick and scurry along the snow covered ground like a hovercraft squawking all the while. I grabbed him and checked him over and he appears fine, I did not see any blood, so I brushed the snow off him and placed him into the small doghouse coop with his ladies that were all calling to him by that point and he crowed a couple times. I hope in the am to find him AOK. Now this all took place no more than an hour ago, it was almost dark outside and these birds did not come out of that doghouse all day, so all i can assume is that this brazen hawk went into the house and dragged him out. I am getting a little sick of this bird as he has been testing me really badly lately.

If anyone is interested in Millie Fluer cochin chicks let me know. Im hatching out every egg i get from my pair. I will have some for sale...PM me for info

You have asked for help and he is killing your babies and showing you no fear, he is sure a danger to people at this point. He will continue to return it's an easy meal.

Oh Laura, you should see how he just glares at me and waits till the last minute to take off. It is like he is tempting fate here I tell ya! I have done all in my power to scare him from my property and he keeps coming back testing me. I just fear one of these days he will try and take off with my little 10 pound dog!
