I've listed these guys in BST. If no one takes them I'll bring the girls to Westford on Sunday. I really need to get my Fav pens set up.

This one was in NH, I am assuming Rochester area because I think that is the rescue organization that has them and they were all pure bengals and abbys. They said they were in good health and clean, but something about the amount of animals. One thing I would like to add to what you said is not all breeders that dont allow you to come to their facility are hiding something. First of all, any reputable breeder will not even show or allow to be shown an animal that has not had its forst set of shots. I dont care what people say, there are only certain levels of cholostrum that protect against the diseases that people can bring in to new pups or kittens. Even visitors to the home or cattery/kennel can bring stuff in on their clothing and shoes. One thing I tell people to remember is this, when the majority of people are puppy or kitten shopping, they are not only looking at what you have to offer. You need to think of where they just came from before coming to your place. And dont think for a minute they did not visit the pet shop in the local mall! When I was breeding ans showing, no one got near my puppies till they were 7 weeks old and the 6 week puppy shot was in their system for at least a week, and at that, they could not handle the puppy, I held it for them to see and then put it in the playpen for them to observe. I did not care if it cost me the sale, there would be another buyer and to me it was worht missing a sale than having to treat a sick puppy or at worst, burry one and be out the money all togetther.

There are definitely good breeders out there, its just that there are too many bad ones that give them all a bad name. Like the idiot who watched the news about the "shortage of kittens" and decided she was going to go start breeding the first two male & female cats she could find. It doesn't help that the news didn't say that there are too many 1-yr old cats around, after people see that their cute, hard-to-get kitten is grown up and no longer cute.
I applaud the breeders (like you) who care about their animals and would rather not sell than send their cat/kitten to a bad home. There's just too many out there that see animals as commodities, and would sell them on ebay if they could.
I'm cringing now, because easter is approaching, which means in a couple months, craigslist will be full of free chicks. Which it's illegal, by the way, to sell chicks under 8 wks to anyone not agricultural. Just learned that. Not that I would. But I am thinking of posting that notice on craigslist.

I don't believe this to be an actual RSA... I am waiting for clarification from the state, will let everyone know when I hear back.

Here we go again.... what's the RSA for this one?

Please, please, please.... I beg of all of you. Do not pass on information as "law" without referencing an RSA or at least verifying your source. It only wastes everyones time. I mean no disrespect to anyone in particular but I just spent my hard earned time, as well as Cindy's time from the state of NH, clarifying this "law". Here is what she said:

=================================================================================
"Also, there is nothing in the laws or rules that requires someone to be "agricultural" in order to buy chicks...however, they may be referring to a town's zoning requirement. There are some towns that will not allow their residents to raise farm animals or poultry unless they are in an agriculturally zoned area.

I have copies of all the RSA's and laws that pertain to our hobby. Anyone that would like copies feel free to PM or email me.

Thanks.
