Chickenstock in West Gardiner, Maine Oct. 12

Yeppers melilem, it was a Barred Rock roo that did go for 25 cents...I remember cause you nudged me and wanted me to go for it! I swear, I get checked over better then cat does after a day of critter watching! lol.
I did not come home with a single thing except a few good laughs!

melilem, I have to give you a good chuckle, Scooter spent the day with the girls in hopes that Penny will stop beating him up...and he crowed. Errr raaahaa. The 5 big girls and Penny all turned around and looked at him with one eye!
OMG, I have way to much time on my hands!!!! He walked up to the wire to look one of the larger hens in the, the, crop! He tried to crow again!!!! For a while I thought they were going to point a feather and laugh!

Either way, the hutch is almost done, tonight I'll leave a light on, like Motel 6 (or 8), but if I find anyone of you NE'rs roosting in it, you will be dowsed with cold water- lol.

i dont know of anyone that bothers to buy a bantam to eat it,,lol we never have trouble placing our mixes. you should be fine.

my rosecomb is not only nice looking, but he is a chicken and would run before he had to confront anything.

Well now im really excited, because I just got a check from my horse show in august and I have enough money for a small flock of bantams, a spare run, and lots of building materials.

I got $4 for second place at the Farmington Fair...I could buy a flock of auction roos

Hey, $4 paid for ...well, some of the gas to get to the fair to pick him up and take him home (roo)!
Glad to hear you did as well as you did seeings he was up with the pigeons! You should bring him Sunday to show him off, he really is a cool looking roo- handsome!

Hi Guys-
I am interesting in attending this meet and am curious if there is any interest in a silver laced wyandotte rooster I would like to relocate. He is 5 months old and so far still very friendly, it's just that I already have 2 roos and do not particularly want a third. He is a good looking boy.
Also are there going to be any standard sized hens available, I have seen lots of roos and banties, but not much for standard hens. Thanks a bunch!

Awsome Greenground

We are all officially nuts, confused and if you tell me anything...You'll have to forgive me cause I'll be dumb to it 24 hours later!
I would love your Wyndotte, but I already have two roos to many.
Not sure about the adult hens, I'll drop tinman a message and see if he still has his girls, but I'm sure that someone else must have a few for you. Any particular breed or age?
That helps people to narrow the feild down.
I am excited to meet up with all the new and old peeps!

sweet! I will see if my dad is interested. Got any roosters for sale there?
