They should be fine for the trip. We have to drive 3 hours for the closest pigeon show. You'd be surprized about the conditions some pigeon people transport/house their pigeons in. I'd be honored to take a look at them. Do you know if they are a pair?

Yes, they are a pair and the man I bought them from told me that if they settled in, I should see eggs in a week or so. Not sure about that or even how to set them up so they will feel comfortable enough to lay eggs!

I'll go over it more in detail at chichester and or PM...But you will NEED private nest boxes or a seperate cage if you want eggs to hatch out. Pigeons will do their act in public, but squab raising MUST be done in privacy.

LOL on the privacy! OK, I am going to try and make Chichester, but if it is rainy and raw, no can do....my body is still recuperating from the cold wind on Saturday at Merrimack!

So who's planning on going and whatcha got??????? Not sure i will have anything to sell, but that wont stop me from buying something I dont need!

I cant believe my hen that has beel laid up on a pile of eggs in the little doghouse for the last month! This morning when I opened the door to let out the other 3 she "rooms" with, there was a partial egg shell in the doorway. All I could think was they started eating the eggs because honestly, these eggs were laid over 2 months ago in the coldest of days, and the hen has been on them for about 4 weeks solid, getting off a few times to look for food in the yard with the other 3. Well, there she sits tonight on at least one chick poking its little head out from under her. I have a hard tome hatching eggs in a climate controlled enviroment with an incubator, and this silly hen is hatching them out in 30 degree weather while she dines out occasionally!
