Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

All most all my weimers in game have the wrong nose and pigment colour, they would be disqualified in shows, only one has the correct colour. How does pigment and nose colour genetics work? They are blue and the nose is supposed to be Isabella, don’t know what the pigment is meant to be.

I could give you a better answer if I had the game in front of me, sorry.

i am 90% sure the standard calls for isabella only dogs. I don't know what causes pigment. A solid isabella dog with a isabella pigment is what you want though

so what it does

it CAN cause trauma to the dog. Your dog will choose what is aversive to it. Aversive means something it wants to avoid.

most dogs will not find the stimulation bothering, but really sensitive dogs might

my dog finds the act of me witholding treats from him MUCH MUCH MUCH more aversive than stimming him with a e-collar

it comes down to your dog. but no, doesn't hurt.

can it be confusing? yes. can it be uncomfortable? yes.

but it doesn't hurt. its simply a stim, and i've put my friends e-collar around my wrist and I went up to level 30, waayyy higher than most people use on their dogs. It didn't hurt. it just tighened my muscles and tickled a bit
That interesting thank you

That interesting thank you

you are welcome

I'd never ever hurt my dog, or put him through any sort of emotional trauma.

that being said, I feel 100% safe using the e-collar and knowing it doesn't hurt, it just tightens his muscles, its only meant to an extension of my arm. Its not a shock, its not a punishment.

they are similar, obedience just eliminates the course aspect of rally

I love both
I think that if I had more time in my day I'd be interested in obedience or rally training. As it stands, I'll have to get a LOT better at time management on weekdays if I want to be able to train on them for any significant amounts of time
