I'm probably in the minority, but I just don't pet other people's dogs, period. I would not handle other people's children, nor would I give other people's children commands or call them to me. People do all these things to other people's dogs and it just seems odd to me that they do that. It just seems invasive to me. Why should my dog go to you? Why should she obey you if you say Come or Sit? She doesn't know you. And why should you think it is okay for you to touch her? We teach our children to beware of strangers, yet we expect people's dogs to be totally accepting about strangers, which is absolutely contrary to their nature. You probably won't get bit, but it does make the dog uncomfortable. If a dog has a muzzle I generally assume that that's a person being responsible with their dog, so I hold up my end of the bargain and take it as a 'no pet' signal.
Hmm. And what breed is she? That does make me wonder about her front legs. She often will fall down and roll over herself while chasing things and she's always fine from that

What equipment do you have on him? What kind of collar, how long of leash? Did he lunge at the other dog? Are you keeping tension on the leash to control him? Are you okay?well.
deacon lunged for the first time in a long while.
gave me rug burn on my arms, I almost let go of the leash. I wasn't expecting that.
we where walking past a busy road, and i keep him close bc he tries to walk into the road every.time... I think the tension on the leash triggered him and he was lunging and growling, hackles raised
I picked him up and left. I would of worked on it, but i am so scared of the dobermann on the other side of the 4 foot chain link fence jumping over. I know it can if it tried.
well brb while i cry
I'm sorry, I forgot to ask how old is she?Goldendoodle

Labradoodle. When she falls down, it's usually because she tripped over her own feet or the ball *gasp* rolled down the hill instead of continuing going up, so she had to make a sharp turn. I'm sure that her front legs are fine.Hmm. And what breed is she? That does make me wonder about her front legs.
