Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

I keep neglecting this thread, sorry guys! Still here for questions, I am going to try and do better about following this thread.

Also reminder! Dry dog food is meant to be watered down :) dogs will wait until they are pretty dehyrated to start drinking water! Adding water to their food helps with getting extra water, helps clean teeth better, and helps with the saltyness in the food

Then why does it not say that on the packaging? Make sense to water it down, if I feed dry food again I will be doing that. How much water should be added?

I don't know. Vets reccomend it. Google.

add enough to where the food is wet, but not enough to where you have kibble soup. Add warm water and let it sit for a little bit. Not to where its mush, but to where the outside is kinda soft and the inside is still hard

That’s adorable :lau. So as long as you find one who wants to they can do it. I love the stubbornness of spitzes
If you get them into it young, you could end up with something fun like in that video, but I wouldn't expect to win too many competitions. However, you're hopefully in it for the fun of it, so that doesn't matter. Someone on a different forum had a husky/shepherd mix that loved agility in classes and in the yard, and then would just,,, not go in a competition lol

I mostly want to do dryland mushing, maybe a bit of agility for fun. No need for a dog who is a amazing at it, just one who will have fun with me
