Why wouldn't they be good with off leash training?

they are stubborn and they where raised and bred to hunt without their handlers for long distances.

I'm looking at obedience stuff and some of it (sit, stay, heeling exercises, recall, fetch) looks drastically easier than some other stuff, like the broad jump
They have the dog TURN IN MID AIR

put a pole on the ground, and then slowly raise it til you are at a decent hight
