Chickies hatched from the Designer Egg Swap

The right one is probably a EE x buff orp. Looks like several I have hatched. Cannot wait to see the next ones. Thanks for posting pictures. Susan

This was the first to hatch and came out of an egg I patched with candle wax after my SO dropped it (I was so ticked at him

) The wax really works!

These guys hatched a whole day later, on the 20th (yesterday).

Is the feather-legged blue a bantam? Porcelain or self-blue d'uccle?

Here's my only baby that hatched out of eggs from warmfuzzies. I had one other egg that was still alive on day 18 but something must have happened because it didn't hatch.

I had 1 broody who wouldn't give up on her eggs even after 5 weeks, sooooo...

I got these guys to keep the one baby company and I snuck all of them under the momma later that night. She is one proud momma.

I couldn't convince her to give up and she was getting scrawny. I didn't want her to die sitting there. She loooooves her babies and is taking excellent care of them.

Thanks again for the eggies warmfuzzies!!! It will be interesting to see what color it turns out.

I have blue orps and a blue sumatra all hens,The green leg might be a mix of pheniox and EE, I also have a pair of langshans and the light blue one looks like some chicks that I hatched even though their black must have blue gene.

I just now saw this thread! Awwwww I am sorry, Lucky Ducky, I was hoping that you would get some pure babies, but that looks like a partridge chick with all that brown. He has fuzzy feet though, right?

Warmfuzzies- That's okay. Yes, that little one has feathered legs. My daughter's little bantam golden laced cochin hen loves it and her other foster babies.

Gamebirdsonly- I will have to take a new picture to post on here. The solid black one is a pullet and..... She has tiny tufts. I picked her up earlier and looked down at her comb (to see what kind she had) and there they were two small tufts poking out. When she hatched she had them but while she was getting her big girl feathers it looked like they had vanished. So I thought I was wrong but she has them.

It's soooo nice to see that I wasn't mistaken after all. This one also has black specks coming in on his neck. He is definitely a he. I'm just waiting for the crow.
They are now 2 days shy of 6 weeks old.

I have no pictures, but here you go! I got two babies from the twelve that fowltemptress sent me. They are Japanese bantam crosses.

I have a yellow one with feathered legs, and a black one with barely feathered legs. They are from cochin hens, I think. They both show some Japanese postures, I think at least the black one has short legs. Or maybe just wishfull thinking.
