My girls are about 5 - 7 weeks old. They just starting staying outside in the coop and free ranging most of the day. We've had a lot of rain and they've been getting plenty of worms, grass and goodies. They still seem to go crazy when I feed them and/or fill their feeder. How much feed should they be getting each day? I always fill it each morning and late afternoon, but many times they seem to want/need more. Are they spoiled or do I need to feed them more often?
thanks -

I feed my chickens "free choice", meaning I leave food out in an automatic feeder and they eat when they want to. I don't think that they can eat too much, if they have good quality food. My girls have access to food constantly but if you throw some fresh fruit or veggies in there, they act like they are starving.
