Chicks afraid of sticks

Just thought this would be a funny post. Chicks are 2 weeks old today and they're starting to fly around some and climb around. I had to increase the brooder size to a large watermelon box. Tonight I put a couple of small sticks on the ground for them to start exploring and they were petrified at first. They've since explored them a bit and a few even stayed on the entire 8 seconds but it was a bit funny

When mine first went out to the coop/run, they were terrified by a floating down feather one of my older chickens had molted .

I moved my ladder over about 6 in and they couldn't handle it. They wouldn't even go in the coop.

The nice thing is if you constantly expose them to things like loud equipment, things being moved around, treats being tossed at them, they'll learn to acclimate to it pretty well.
