Chicks are making rattling noise! Help! Is this bad?

Possibly pressing on the crop or air sacs if you only are hearing and feeling it after the chick is being held and gets worked up.
Try holding her differently.

You want to ensure there's fresh air coming in, so it's good the door is opened, but you may want to consider a window open at night.
It’s most of them making the noise too. And it’s when I hold them, like a clicking watery noise as they get worked up & chirp. Even the different aged groups that I have in another brooder box. They were all hatched except 7 chicks from cackle. I really hope it’s nothing.

As long as they are active eating and drinking, I would not worry. If you hear any sneezing, or see bubbles/foam in an eye, or eyelid swelling, then it might be significant. If you bring in chicks or hatching eggs from other people, there always can be a risk of getting a respiratory disease. But normally you would see more of the symptoms I listed. Sick birds are sick-looking.
They are eating & drinking a ton & no other symptoms. They all make this weird clicking watery noise (sounds like water stuck in their airway or something) when they get worked up because I’m holding them. I’ve got 3 week olds, 2 week olds & some 1 week olds in different brooder boxes out there & all making that noise. I’ve got oxytetracycline. Should I give it or hold off?

I don't hear it either.
Do you hear the rattle if you aren't holding her?

Any coughing/sneezing?
How's the ventilation in your garage, any fumes in there?
What's the brooder like, you mention a box - you got photos?
Here are photos. Some of the young silkies & 1 young Ameraucana in the smaller box are making the same wet clicking noise too. Not all of them. I’d say about 3 of the younger silkies & 7 out of 11 of older chicks in the bigger box are making the noise. They are still eating & drinking good & no visible signs of illness other than that wet clicking when I hold them.

No I cannot hear it unless I am holding the chick and the chick gets worked up chirping.

4 different posts and all of them mention the same thing...they get worked up when you hold them, Then, you hear the noise.

Don't hold any of them for a few days. See if you notice any noise during that time.

Well it is so faint that I doubt I could hear the clicking noise otherwise…it’s hidden behind their chirping. So holding them I can hear it because I can feel the vibration & hear it with their chirps close to me rather than way down in the box with multiple chicks all chirping & moving around.

I hope it’s just me being overly cautious. I plan to wait & see for now. 🙏🏻

So I actually heard one of the chicks making the rattling wet clicking as it was running around chirping without me holding it so I know it has nothing to do with me holding it. Which I already knew, I’ve owned enough chicks to know that. It’s just weird because they all act fine. I’m unsure whether to treat with antibiotics through nebulizer or wait it out. If I wait it out then they could make a turn for worse if it truly is something respiratory or they could just be fine. I don’t have any experience with chickens with respiratory issues So I have no idea.
