Chicks arrived TODAY!

I really like mine. She was bought from a hatchery. I picked her up at the feedstore. She was the most fluffy and beautiful of all my chicks. Poor thing has a broke leg though. Or maybe it is just crooked. I never knew anything was wrong until she was about 3 weeks old and I saw her limping. It's not bad though and she still keeps up with the others. Her legs are the strangest color - almost olive colored. A friend of mine from work put 48 of the EE eggs in her incubator and they are all hatching this weekend. She is giving me some and bringing me a dozen eggs to incubate myself.

They really grow fast! Only 5 days old and they are growing wing feathers already!! One is even trying to fly! Holy cow!!

Fed them an earthworm this morning and they attacked it and ate it within seconds of it hitting the pine shavings!!
