Chicks arrived!

My chicks arrived yesterday. They all look good, we(I) spent the day constantly monitoring them and their temperature(in addition to caring for my sick three year old), I got up every two to three hours overnight to check on them, and we have all survived the night! Can't do pictures/videos from my phone. I had one loud mouth little peeper for the first half of yesterday, but she seems to have calmed down.

Wow! You're a diligent chicken mama! They are really pretty tough despite their puff ball appearance as babies. If they were mailed to you the first 24 hours after arrival is the most crucial. And while things can still happen, generally if they have food, fresh water, and warmth, after the first day home you are usually on easy street! Best wishes!

Thanks! I totally don't plan on being that diligent now that the first 24 hours have passed, but who knows since I didn't actually need the alarms I had set and woke up on my own...
