The dark one is a Barnevelder and the other is an Easter egger which we hope will have green eggs—a Green Queen from My Pet Chicken.

It must be great to have hens raising chicks!

I could sit and watch them all day. It certainly has made my life easier and the way they take care of them is crazy. This morning one of the mothers found a worm and she dropped it on the ground and called the babies over and it was so adorable.
